Hosted by Surfers for Climate With “Anything But a Surfboard” presented with MIXFM

  • Saturday 21 March | Approx. 1 – 4PM
  • LOCATION TO BE CONFIRMED SATURDAY MORNING!!!
  • Free to enter | Limited spots

Crafternoon is a brand-new Saturday arvo activation at the Noosa Festival of Surfing – bringing together performance, creativity and pure beach energy.

Teams of two will hit the water in a fun, fast-paced format that celebrates versatility across shortboarding and longboarding. It’s all about showing off the insane skill of longboarders who also shred on shortboards, showcasing how dynamic surfers can be.

Then things get interesting.

Sea FM & MIXFM will host the inaugural “Anything But a Surfboard” novelty heat, where a select crew attempts to surf anything BUT a surfboard!

Open to anyone, free to enter, limited spots – we’ll be recruiting in the lead-up and on the day. Requirements to enter:

  • Boards must be handmade – no pre-built or store-bought craft.
  • Human powered only. No motors.
  • All materials must float. Nails/fixtures allowed if safe.
  • No sharp edges, glass, sheet metal, motors, whitewater craft, or strapping to boats.
  • Boards must be safe and seaworthy – officials’ decision is final.

Stick around after for an epic After Party at the Beach Bar with Surfers for Climate and Sea FM!
