SurfAid Official Charity of the 2021 Noosa Festival of Surfing

It wouldn’t be a Noosa Festival of Surfing without giving back. Since the very beginning, way back in 1992, the festival has endeavored to encourage and inspire goodwill, give back and to assist those in need. 2021 is no different as we partner with globally recognised surf charity, SURFAID.

SURFAID’S MISSION

“SURFAID’S CORE MISSION IT TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN REMOTE AREA INCLUDING INDONESIA, SOLOMON ISLANDS, MEXICO AND ANY AREA’S CONNECTED TO US THROUGH SURFING”

SurfAid is committed to a ‘hand up, not handout’ philosophy and their focus is on empowering and supporting local communities to enrish their own lives and increase their choices and possibilities for realising their own potential.

In 2021 competitors can donate to SurfAid as they register for the event. Simply Register Now and select a $10, $20, or $50 donation option from the drop down menu.

SurfAid staff will be present during the event offering great quality merch for sale, donation buckets for any loose change and CEO, Doug Lees will be hosting surf film nights in collaboration with the Festival. Dates, times, films and locations to be announced soon…
