The first half of the evening is a celebration of the launch of “Immortals,” a groundbreaking book by our incredible nights emcee, Phil Jarratt. The book crowns Tom Carroll as one of Australia’s top 12 surfers in history, marking a pivotal moment in surf literature. Phil will take us through details of the book and a back and fourth with both Tom and Pete over the details of the book.
In the second half of the evening, embark on a captivating journey into the making of the 1978 classic, “Big Wednesday,” a film synonymous with an evolving surf culture. Peter Townend, a pivotal figure in its creation, shares exclusive outtakes and behind-the-scenes insights, unveiling the profound impact this film has had on shaping contemporary surf culture.
