The Noosa Festival of Surfing today announced the return of Laguna Real Estate as event title partner for 2018.

Next March’s event will once again be known as the Laguna Real Estate Noosa Festival of Surfing, with the Noosa real estate institution signing on for two more years.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be supporting the 2018 Laguna Real Estate Noosa Festival of Surfing.” Says Principal of Laguna Real Estate, Olivier Miller.

“This will be Laguna’s third consecutive year as the major naming sponsor of this international event and we can’t wait to help make 2018 the biggest and best surfing festival yet.”

Statistics from 2017 showed greater popularity, higher competitor and visitor numbers and greater visitor expenditure than ever before, the festival’s global reach and popularity benefiting local Noosa businesses as much as the broader surfing community.


The welcome return of Laguna Real Estate – established over 40 years ago – will enable the festival team to once more raise the bar on all aspects of the event.

“The 8 Days of Pure Stoke is a highlight for not just the Laguna Team, but all of Noosa, welcoming an additional 15,000 visitors to the area last year and injecting almost $1.3million to our local economy,” reflects Miller. “We know Festival Director Sam Smith and her team will ensure this event makes a huge impact on a world stage and we are so proud to be a part of it again.”

Winner of the 2017 REIQ Community Service Award, Laguna Real Estate – named after the spectacular Laguna Bay, on which Noosa lies – was commended specifically for its support of the festival, and the increase in commerce and attention it brings to the region.

“When I first joined Laguna Real Estate all those years ago, our logo was of a man surfing a longboard in Laguna Bay,” Miller recalls, “so we have come full circle. It’s wonderful to be supporting the festival once more.”
