The following are the special conditions that the organisers of the Noosa Festival of Surfing (NFOS) will allow for 2022 entries from internationally based competitors.

Entry fees into the NFOS, which will run from 5-13 March 2022, are normally non-refundable except under extenuating medical reasons that are provided in writing to the organisers before the Festival begins. However, for 2022, the organisers will refund entry fees from internationally based competitors (less the standard AUD$20 administration fee) IF the Australian Federal Government has not opened its borders to the international competitor’s home country by 28 February 2022 for tourism purposes.

Prior to booking an entry into NFOS 2022, international competitors are strongly advised to check the latest travel requirements for entry to Australia. These requirements may include mandatory health declarations, vaccinations, pre-departure COVID-19 tests, use of face masks, entry permits, pre-approval and possibly some form of quarantine, depending on your country of origin or ports you have transited prior to arriving in Australia. In addition, competitors should check for any special COVID-19 related requirements upon return to your home country.

If Australian Federal Government regulations as at 28 February 2022 deny an international competitor entry to Australia, the competitor need to email the details of their situation to –

[email protected]

The Festival organisers will try to process refunds within ten (10) business days from the date of receipt of a claim for a refund but are not responsible for any delays, exchange rate losses or competitor bank or credit card fees that may be associated with the refund.
