For the last five years, the world’s premier surf tourism provider, World Surfaris has generously contributed a prize package for one lucky Laguna Real Estate Noosa Festival of Surfing competitor.
In 2017, the lucky recipient was runner-up in the Family Challenge division and, coincidentally, semi-finalist in the World Surfaris Men’s 65 & Over division, John Norton, who won a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Maldives aboard the Handhu Falhi surf charter.
2018 will quite possibly be the most prestigious competitor draw to date, with World Surfaris kindly donating a seven-night package aboard the luxury Manta surf charter, cruising through the breathtaking and wave-abundant Malè atolls in the Maldives.
“Manta is a 105-foot cruiser, purpose-built for surfers to experience the world-class waves of the Maldives whilst in the comfort of Manta’s premium level accommodation and spacious living,” explains World Surfaris head honcho, John Finlay.
For the first time, the Manta Surf Charter will be up for grabs to all competitors of the festival, and John is proud to be offering this premium package to one lucky competitor (& their even luckier friend).
“Manta offers seven nights sailing throughout the Malè Atolls. In all, you will surf up to seven breaks in North Malè and six breaks in South Malè, plus a few little nooks and crannies, which on their day are world-class,” John enthuses. “The Manta is also a very versatile boat. It’s perfect for couples, with spacious ensuites and fully air-conditioned cabins. Expert surf guide, Ali is a professional bodyboarder with tonnes of respect amongst locals. Not only will he get you to the best waves on the day but he will increase your wave count with a few simple tips on where to sit and when to paddle out.”
For those not in the running to win this great prize, bookings can be made through World Surfaris.
World Surfaris also presents the Men’s 50 & Over division in 2018, having sponsored a different age division each of its six years with the festival, reflecting the company’s diversity in clientele and the versatility of their exceptional surf holiday packages.
“We’re very excited to be part of it all again,” says John. “It’s a great event, great for surfing and great for the Sunshine Coast. The festival continues to grow in popularity, bringing a real buzz to Noosa, and that is something we love to be involved with. As the world’s premier surf tourism provider, we feel it is our duty to support such great events that tie in so perfectly with our brand image and direction.”
The World Surfaris Competitor Draw is open to all competitors in the 2018 Laguna Real Estate Noosa Festival of Surfing and entry is automatic, with one proviso: the winner must claim the prize in person at the festival’s closing presentation evening.
